To Our Friends At Reeves Corner

The now former Reeves Furniture building in Croydon
Ladbroke Productions (proud to be a Croydon business) would like to send our love and support to our friends at Reeves Furniture in Croydon. Last night, the beautiful building above, established in 1867, was burned to the ground by moronic evil looters and rioters. Reeves is a family business that all of us in Croydon are very proud of. The building and business was a real historic landmark, and we are devastated to see its destruction by mindless thugs. We would also like to send our support to all the residents and other businesses affected by the rioting last night. Such meaningless wanton destruction proves nothing but the idiocy of those who partake in it. Croydon, and all of London will stand strong and united against such violence. We look forward to the rebirth of Reeves Furniture.
And if you haven’t seen it yet, this is what Reeves Furniture looked like late last night!
The Order of the Golden Sprout
As an american in Montana, and hard worker of a business built by hands and sheer labor, in an historic old building ourselves, trying to survive this economic turmoil, I am super appalled by the destruction of these riots and this furniture store with its wonderful history and building. We have the same trash people here living on constant welfare and blaming everyone for their lives. Granted the government seems to have become everyone’s enemy but a good percentage of regular people are working hard, have worked hard and are struggling – nothing was handed to them, black or white. I agree with the rural people of Britain’s countryside on their perspective as here is similar. I’m afraid this behavior is going to spread here – in fact we’ve been seeing it throughout the country in numerous incidents this summer. My heart out to the Reeves family, I hope you save the structure left and rebuild.
